You're Invited to Explore Groundwork's Early Childhood Dashboard Preview
Last month, Groundwork Ohio released its Early Childhood Dashboard Preview, which outlines Ohio’s performance on 20 key early childhood metrics. The Early Childhood Dashboard Preview is a precursor to a first-of-its-kind, more comprehensive Early Childhood Dashboard that will be released in 2023. Ultimately, the Early Childhood Dashboard will be a tool to track Ohio’s performance on key early childhood metrics and illuminate areas where the state needs increased investment, focused attention, and urgent action.
Over the next year, Groundwork Ohio will gather feedback on the Dashboard Preview to inform development of the 2023 Dashboard. As part of this process, Groundwork will consult with and solicit feedback from early childhood experts, families, community organizations, providers, and other early childhood stakeholders at the local, state, and national levels.
As a member of the Ready, Set, Soar Ohio coalition, Groundwork Ohio invites you to check out the Early Childhood Dashboard Preview and share your feedback.

Ohio's Extension of Postpartum Health Coverage to Take Effect April 1, 2022
Last year, as part of Ohio's biennial state budget, state policymakers and Governor DeWine approved a provision that extends postpartum coverage for Medicaid-eligible pregnant women from 60 days to 12 months. Thanks to this provision, approximately 10,000 additional women will maintain access to critical health services after pregnancy.
We're excited to share that Ohio's postpartum extension goes into effect today, April 1, 2022!
Recently, the American Heart Association – a member of the Ready, Set, Soar Ohio coalition – published a blog explaining what the extension means for Ohio's new moms, and why it is a powerful tool for helping more babies and mothers survive and thrive.
